McAfee DAT causes havoc across computer networks in the UK and the world.
21 April seems to be day 0 of this incident. The virusscan console scan detects W32/Wecorl.a which is actually a false positive with the 5958 DAT, to solve this either rev back to the 5957 DAT or uses the extra DAT McAfee provide.

To stop the computer going to re boot cycles you can use the command shutdown -a this command aborts the windows reboot process.

other more aggressive fixes include restarting in safe mode then renaming the mcafee folder (e.g. mcafee1) seems to do the trick as it stops mcafee from loading on the reboot for complete fix go to:
